He responded that he was soon to be going out of town for the holidays but "perhaps" we could arrange to do something once he got back in Jan. I responded to his email saying that that would be fine and provided my mobile number so he could call me and we could arrange to get together. The Spring semester started Monday and I still haven't heard anything from him. The last email we exchanged was exactly 3 weeks ago today. Here are my questions:Assume that he showed an interest in me during last semester and thus my reason for asking him out for a drink...why would he agree to get together in the future and not follow up with an email or call by now? Am I impatient and should I give him so more time to call? Is it likely that he will call given the circumstances? What reason could a guy have for not moving forward with a woman he is attracted to?Also....I am fairly confident he is hetero and single, yet very reserved and little socially awkward (ie geeky). Possibly my being a past student is displeasing even though he is just 4 yrs my senior?Really need advice...going crazy here.THANK YOU12345-- Rate this Question Reply to this Question Share |

I would be surprised if he did contact you. It could affect his job if he had a relationship with a student, even if you are of consenting age. Or at the time he was being kind and letting you down gently.
