A female United States age 30-35, *ocam writes:

Well, I have this guy friend that ive known since January. He told my best friend ,that he had a crush on all year, that he loved her but she rejected him so he started hanging around me more. And a few days after that he asked me out. I rejected him because I just figured that he asked me out because he wanted to make her jealous. At the end of the school year he asked for my number and ever since he has called me every day.

We talk for hours on end until either our parents make us get off the phone or until one of us falls asleep. He said that he has never talked to a girl on the phone for as long as we talk. My guy friend said yesterday that he enjoys our phone conversations, that I'm cute, that I'm a good gamer (because we both play video games alot), and that he likes me.

I said I liked him too but I meant it in a friend-like way. But now that I think about it, he might have meant that he likes me more than a friend. Do you think he likes me more than a friend or as just a friend?

A female reader, anonymous, writes (25 June 2008):

Boys don't tell you "I like you" when they just like you as a friend. Believe me. I think that your little guy friend likes you, so keep talking to him and see what happens. See if he wants to go to the movies or something, maybe your parents will drive you. Good luck!
