Yes you do. Some STI's are symptomless too, which means you won't know you have it unless you get checked by a doctor.

STI's can effect your period in the way of 'spotting', if you are suddenly getting that then that could be a symptom of one.

If you think you have a STI/STD see a doctor. Some STI/STD's are pretty serious.

person12345 agony auntYes. STIs wouldn't affect your period. The only way to know if you have an STI is to be tested. If your period has stopped after sex you should take a pregnancy test.
