Just out of curiosity, I'm interested to find out, and would like to know:

Sex with the lights on, off or dimmed? What do you prefer? What do you typically do? And why?

Thanks!

Candle light I think is the best I know it sounds cheesy but I think it's more romantic.

Moonlight ;)

Love it so much, there's a sort of blue tinge to the whole room and it gives your skin a sort of luminescent glow. It makes everything seem sort of magical. The best sex I've had was in moonlight. Every little kiss and movement seemed special

Hmm, I'm not one for having full blown lights on, it makes everything seem quite blunt and severe for me. Although, like chigirl, I used to live in Norway where the sun literally didn't go down. So, you know . . . sex with the lights on vs. no sex over the summer? . . . . the first one every time ;)

try it in complete darkness only with a small red light on and slightly tipsy after a night out dancing. Absolutely wild.

A female reader, chigirl Norway +, writes (3 December 2011):

chigirl agony auntLights on. I like to take in the view. If lights are off it's because it was in my eyes. Dimmed lights make for romance. Complete darkness is created through blindfolds, which heightens your other senses and can be quite intensifying.

Maybe it should be added that I live above the polar circle and in summer we have sunshine all night, so lights can never really be "switched off" during summer. Could be that's just what I got used to, I tend to only cover the windows if outsiders can look inside, other than that there's no point in it to me.

So_Very_Confused agony auntlow lights... either early morning light through the drapes or late afternoon light works for natural light

candlelight works well too if you have multiple candles around the room

we keep a blue blub in one night table light for "mood lighting" for when it's dark out.

and of course doing it by the late night tv light has been known to happen...

but never ever EVER in the pitch black.

DeVaughn'sMommy08 agony auntAll of thee above... it doesn't really matter to me honestly.

As long as I enjoy it and I get off and he gets his too, I'm not worried about how the lights are, just focused on my man and the moment.

My hunny is deployed right now(so lacking the sex SUCKS!!)

I'm 24 years old with 2 kids, not really a lot of time to have our boom boom moments, and with him in the military I don't get a lot of time with him.

So I could care less if I'm in the kitchen making a sandwich and he comes in from work all dirty, sweaty and smelling of welding all day long, He can take me right then and there on the counter all up in the bread, mayo, ketchup. mustard, cheese, tomato, lettuce, and roasted turkey. I'm more then willing.

LMAO that juzt made me wanna go make a zandwich...

A female reader, auntyR United Kingdom +, writes (3 December 2011):

i don't think it personally makes a difference if there is lights on or not. Sure you can create a romantic mood with candles, etc which is always nice, but then sex during the day is always good too.

If you are consious of your body however then make yourself feel sexy by having a dim light. Whatever makes you happy.
