It actually DOES matter when you take your birth control pills. Most birth control information sheets are attached to what the pills actually come in, and most all of them will tell you that you must take the pill at the SAME time EVERY day. The reason is that when you take your pill you are then putting the hormones in your body that prevent pregnancy. When you take the pill that day the levels of those hormones start out consistant and if you take your pill the same time everyday then there are no ups and downs of those hormone levels. If you forget to take your pill one day or wait past your usual time by even a few hours, those hormone levels will drop and could potentially cause you to ovulate (release an egg)which in turn if you decide to have sexual intercourse during that time you could become pregnant. Even if you forget to take it and remember a couple of hours later or even many hours later, you should still continue to take it. Just make sure that you are very careful when you have sex and keep in mind that by forgetting to take them at a set time or forgetting to take them at all, you are putting yourself at risk for pregnancy. Remember that the best advice will come from the inserts in your pill packets, do what they say and you should be fine!

it will still work, but it will most definately work if u take it generally at the same time everyday. it is more efective than taking it at like 1 pm one day, 7pm anthr day and 10 AM another day. like others have probably said, make it a part of youyr daily routine and you will be fine :)

Follow the instructions as given and best to take it everyday at the same time.
If you take it at different times, it will still work but what I fear is that you may tend to forget to take it.
Better to develop a regular habit and you will not miss it.

Yes, try to take it at the same time every day. If you're going to not take it right on the nose, it's better to take it early rather than later. For example, I take mine at 11 am, but on Sundays, that's when church starts, so I take it 15 minutes before the service starts so it's not rude.
It's been said by health professionals that if you're not good at keeping a routine (I set an alarm on my cell phone and it goes off when it's time for me to take my pill), then the pill may not be best for you; rather, try that ring, or some other form of birth control where you don't have to take it every single day.

For it to be as effective as it is, yes. However, as much of a good girl as I have tried to be about taking it, there have been time where I skipped around on the time (I still took it everyday) and didn't wind up pregnant. Could have been luck or the pill is still doing it's job.
I try to fit it into a routine too. Usually when I get up in the morning and I'm getting ready for work, it's one of the things I do. However, on days I get to sleep in, I might be off an hour or two. Just do the best you can.
