First of all you need to take a pregnancy test. Take it with the "first pee of the morning" its more accurate that way. I am currently 36 weeks pregnant. At the startof my pregnancy I had a pinching feeling in my ovaries and at about 5-8 weeks I had cramping. It can sometimes happen during pregnancy and be perfectly fine, but it can also mean other things like ectopic pregnancy, which is when the baby starts to grow and develope in your phillopean tubes, hence they can potentially burst. It is life threatening so yu would want to get checked out as soon as possible. It can also be the start of your body attempting to miscarry. However, when I first got pregnant I felt as if my period was going to start for probably about the first month and that can be completly normal too. Everyone's very different, so you just have to listen to your body and your doctor. First things first though, take a pregnancy test. I hope that helps. ( i didn't mean to scare you I was just givin u some facts, but relax and take things one step at a time) Best wishes and good luck.

Best get tested, just in case. You're in Britain, so everything is free and confidential if you go to the doctor.

i think that you should take a pregancy test and if its positive
this might be a reason for the pain :
One of the first times when you may experience pain is around the time of your first missed period. For a day or two, some women have a pain that's low down in the abdomen and feels a bit like a dull period pain, as if your period is about to start. It's thought that this is because the embryo is beginning to embed itself in the soft lining of your uterus at this time
but you should consult your doctor
