Please tell me what you think...Oh let me tell you about my last years of life.Family members died, 2 pets died, failed 5 year relationship, car was stolen, washer broke, furnace broke, water heater broke, boss cut me down to 10 hrs work every 2 weeks and won’t lay me off, unemployment says boss said I quit and won’t pay, don’t even get responses when I send out my resume or get led on, 2 tornados hit my house, raccoons destroyed my kitchen ceiling trying to get inside, electricity in front room no longer working, brother is going criminally insane and points at things in the bible as “signs”, those are the “BIG” ones, so I type this in an unheated house, in the winter not looking forward to eating my daily ramen ration of 1 packet and pondering “luck”. Luck didn’t afford my internet bill, giving up food did. Don’t give me any crap about it being “just an outlook” – physical, negative things happen and they compound upon themselves until someone does hit the ground and cries out – why me – again. I joke that the only thing I have left to lose now is a limb – it has some truth in it. Certainly can’t afford a medical bill with no insurance so next to go is health. Do you think I shouldnt think, that there is bad luck? Reply to this Question Share |

I've seen it lots of times, going both ways. Sometimes you just can't do anything wrong, everything comes up roses. And sometimes it just turns, and it's like the universe is out to get you. So yes, I definitely believe in luck, and in runs of luck. Hope yours turns soon.

I kind of do, but a lot of stuff is coinsidence too.
Think about this; family dies especially if they're old, pets die especially if they're old. The 5-year relationship failed because obviously it wasn't going anywhere, after 5-years someone would have to expect a proposal by then. Car stolen, yeah that sucks but if you happen to live in an area where that happens or you have a car on the top 10 list of stolen vehicles, then that could be a factor. I take it you don't live in a new house, so things are definitley going to break. We're in a recession, so of course you and many other people (including me) are SOL when it comes to work. If you live in tornado alley, then I would suspect that your home would get hit by a tornado.
I think a lot of it can be explained, but I can see how you're starting to think it's getting out of hand. Maybe it's a sign that you need to go somewhere new or try something else. If you don't have many obligations there and you sound like you're looking for some happiness, I think this is the time for you to get out there and do what you've always wanted to do.
