I'm asking this because some people are so convinced that they can totally be in control, and others are wondering if they have any control, over on their life. I do seem to believe in destiny. I'm not a believer, but many things makes me think, we have very little control. What do you think? Reply to this Question Share |

However I also believe that no matter which path we end up on, there are certain events/people/experiences that are destined to happen. Kind of like the film sliding doors.
Just my own opinion :) take care.

I believe WE are the makers of our own destinies. The word DESTINY refers to a predetermined course of events. It may also be conceived as a predetermined future. I personally don't think our futures are predetermined. They are what WE make it. If we sit back on our backsides all our lives then nothing exciting will happen and we won't achieve much in life but if we put the wheels in motion and MAKE things happen then our lives unfold.
I strongly believe that to EXPERIENCE is what we come to this earth for – and out of our experiences we create ourselves. So make the most of your life! Don't be swayed by propriety of society, in other words, you don’t want to make your parents, your schools, your religions, your traditions, wrong and in so doing you deny your own experience in favour of what you have been told to think.
Make your OWN destiny!

We are in control of our actions and our decisions; but do I believe in destiny? Not sure, this could turn into a really deep discussion, I can think of a few times in my life when things seemed to come about on their own, but I believe that we ultimately control what we do in our lives, and destiny could start to sound like an excuse for certain actions.~Des
