Do people eventually fall out of love?

A female Canada age 30-35, *aeisforlovers16 writes:

I recently read an article that said the "infatuation" stage of a relationship normally goes away after about 6 months and it turns into "love".

Well, along with infatuation are the butterflies in your stomach and the losing-your-breath-moments when he/she walks by and wanting to be with him/her at all times and missing him/her when they're gone.

But, what comes with love? I'm only 16 and I have a while but after I'm married, will I still feel the same way? Will I still want to be around him at all times and miss him when he's away? Will he continue to take my breath away every time he speaks? It just seems to me that people fall out of love after years of being together.

I don't want that to happen and there actually is a guy who takes my breath away every time I see him. I've never had feelings like this before and I know that I don't "love" him. I know that it's just "infatuation" or "lust". But I love these feelings and I really don't want them to go away.

So, if I end up falling in love with this guy, will I still feel the same way? Because to me, it just seems that no one stays "in love"...

I'm sorry if this didn't make much sense to you but I don't know how to explain the way I'm feeling.
