I wouldnt really know what to say but i know how you feel about not wanting to take the test.

i was the same way.

the best thing to do in my opinion is to find someone[[like your best freind, sister,or someone you are real close to]]

ask them to take you to a plan parenthood thing and talk to the doctor and get a blood test done.

it is easier and more accurate so no mistakes made.

A female reader, natasia United Kingdom +, writes (21 March 2008):

natasia agony auntLet's do some calculations here. How come you've missed 2 periods? If you got pregnant 6 weeks ago, you would have missed one period (due about 2 weeks after you got pregnant). Ah - or do you mean you missed that one, and you're missing one now? And you've started to feel a bit sick? In which case, you very well might be pregnant.

The early symptoms are pretty much:

- sore boobs, and may be full like before your period

- feeling strangely tired when you wouldn't usually (eg, in the early afternoon)

- feeling sick, or as if you have a bit of a tummy bug

- feeling a bit off your food, or having sudden cravings (eg for oranges), or sudden aversions to food

- getting more sensitive to smells - especially food and perfume

- feeling really thirsty sometimes

All of these can come on from even about 2 weeks after the baby was conceived - ie, when you first missed your period. They tend to start to be clearly noticeable by about 4-5 weeks after you had the sex. You might not get all the symptoms, though. And they get gradually stronger so that by 6 weeks or so after the sex you really do feel different and know something is going on.

Your best option, rather than waiting and avoiding it, is to do a test. Have you got a friend you could talk to, who maybe could buy it for you and bring it home for you to do it? Or do it yourself - go on, just do it. If you really are pregnant, finding out isn't going to make any difference, apart from then you'll be able to start thinking about what you're going to do.

If you are pregnant, you need someone to talk to, and you need some love and help and support. It would be great if someone could be with you when you do the test. What about your best friend, or sister, or someone like that?

Go on - just do it. Get it over with. Find out for sure. You can do it.

O Connor agony auntwhy dont you want to take a pregnancy test - despite the fact that you may be pregnant? we are not doctors hunny, you need to go to a doctor AND take a pregnancy test. no offence, but not wanting to take one is not the smartest move. you cant keep putting it off. you may not be pregnant but you are stressing yourself out at the moment and the only way to put your mind at ease is to either go to the doctor or take the test. take care and good luck hun, laura xxx

Tisha-1 agony auntWe can't tell you if you're pregnant, I'm so sorry to say. You do need to get that test, and as Mandy7 said, a doctors appointment. Anyone who has been getting sick four days a week for the past month should definitely see a doctor, it is important!

All the best.

A female reader, anonymous, writes (21 March 2008):

Hi,

This doesn't necessarily mean that you are pregnant. It could just be stress and worry. I recently got my period after 3 months of not having one, and I'm not pregnant!

Why is it that you don't want to take a test? It would be the best way to find out. Do you not want to be pregnant? If that's the case I think it may be best to refrain from having intercourse or at least use protection!

Good luck! x
