What's the reason for this? It gets a little awkward and I am not sure if they are just as attracted to me or not, or if it's just the way they normally communicate and sound over the phone. Hello,
Unless you are ringing pubescent boys, old men, or chain smokers I cant see why a mans voice would shake. I assume you mean only the men you have actually seen in real life as apposed to men you only speak to on the phone?
Perhaps its the way you come across? If you express your self aggressively, too firmly, or with a sense of too much authority or control then that may be intimidating to some people. Maybe you are flirting (with or without realizing) and they feel awkward?
Of course if you say "Well heelloooo big boy what are you wearing...", but seriously I wouldn't read too much into it. Some people are not good on the phone. Im one of them. Despite my obvious intellect, wit, charm and charisma that comes across here on DC, via telephone im reduced to a shaking, mumbling, sweating wreck with no control other my vocal chords. Face to face im fine, over the phone I sound like a 5 year old boy with a bunged up nose.
Some females do flirt in business environments with clients and associates, often without realising, as it can be beneficial. But it can also make things awkward.
