Is this an exaggeration? Also, a second question I have is, I think about sex all the time even though I don't get much pleasure out of it. I think about it like all the time, while I'm reading a book, listening to music, watching videos, talking to friends, at school, all the time... is there something wrong with me, is my testosterone going wild? I am 20 years old and a female. I feel so rotten. Reply to this Question Share |

Men who require 7 seconds between s*x thoughts are, generally, considered "slow"..... The perkiest amongst us require just a second or two between sordid thoughts....
AS for thinking dirty thoughts, yourself, all the time.... you need to consult with a gender-identity specialist to see if you aren't "turning male".... which would explain your s*xual proclivities.... which - yes - are more in keeping with male - rather than female - frameworks....
Tell us... do you watch football all weekend on the TV? ... college on Saturday.... and professional, on Sunday... as THAT is the primary means by which to determine one's gender/sexuality....
P.S. Do you drink beer a lot???... and not worry if it makes you bloated and causes gas????
Good luck..
P.P.S. What kind of car (or, pickup truck) do you drive?

As a woman I would say from the mid to late teens and to the mid to late 20's sex is a lot on ANYONE's mind regardless of gender. And it is perfectly normal.
The 7 seconds? I don't think that is entirely correct, if men (and women ) where so preoccupied with sex we would have no wars. Seriously!
Having a HEALTHY libido (and it sounds like you do) is again totally normal, as long as you don't try and bed everything with a pulse every time you get horny or have a sexual thought, I think you are JUST fine.
Feeling rotten because it's on your mind a lot? What ever for? Were you raised with sex is bad or dirty? Or that GOOD girls don't think about it or want it?
Thinking about it when you watch a movie, read a book? Again pretty normal. Specially when MANY books and movies are geared towards the eternal marketing motto - sex sells!
Relax. You are perfectly normal.

Men are one track minded, I don't think they could do something like work AND think about sex it has to be 1 or the other.

I def dont think of sex even every hour. I think of it only in the evenings when am alone and in bed. Not when am at work or other engagements.

I don't know where that 7 second stat came from. How on earth would anyone measure that?
It's certainly age dependent. At 15 I might have thought about something other than sex ever seven seconds -- say if I hadn't eaten in three days or something. Now that I'm old(er), not so much.

Maybe while they're having sex.
Otherwise no.
When I was 20 it was a lot more frequent than now, so you're totally normal.

I'm not a lady, but as a man I can vouch that no, we do not think about sex every seven seconds. Most men I know tend to focus pretty intently at one thing at a time. When we're thinking about sex, oh boy are we thinking about it. When we're not, it's totally out of our minds. That doesn't mean that a pretty girl walking by can't remind us, though.
And you're 20 and your hormones are still nuts and you still thing about it a good deal? How is that rotten at all? Women have every bit the sex drive that men do (heck, my girlfriend has more than I do) and that's utterly normal. Sure you think about it, all the more because you apparently haven't had GOOD sex yet. That's not wrong, that's human. Embrace that. There's someone out there that will quite enjoy releasing your inner tiger.
