Irish is dead on.
The funny thing about men is, the more effort they have to put into the chase, the more they value the prize when they finally get it. The sooner you sleep with a man, the more likely he is to want to leave soon after. Not true for all, but true for many.

The rather unsatisfying answer is..sometimes. It's impossible (and unhelpful) to lump all men together just as it is to generalise about all women. If you are looking for someone who wants a serious relationship, then that person would expect to get to know you well before having sex. If you meet a man who is put off if you don't immediately jump into bed with him, then he is not the serious type you're looking for. You just need to decide what you want.
I don't think there is a way to "get them mental about you" if they don't already like you, but there are lots of ways to make people feel good in your company - imagine everyone has a sign above their head saying "make me feel important" - this will make you very attractive to be with.

I'm not saying you have to be a hellish bitch...you just have to be strong and set some standards. You can still be a loving, nice woman but women need to learn to love in a smart way with their dignity intact. Men will recognize this quickly. If a guy asks you to do something you know goes against your values...you tell him no. Going to bed with a guy, gets you nothing but a bad reputation.

I absolutely hate girls who sleep around. I like girls who earn respect and trust, unlike some people I have been with.
I wish all girls were looking for stability instead of an easy lay.
