Do intentional one-way conversations work?

A female United States age 30-35, *arenival writes:

I am taking a break/vacation with my boyfriend of 10 months right now. It's only been a few days, but I realized many things. One being that I feel that taking a break is just running away from our problems. I'm want to give him space and all that, but I do want to talk to him. I think I've figured out some suggestions we can do to help with our problems, but I'm not sure if I will be able to say it all when we talk. I wrote it all down.. I was thinking it might be a good idea if we both did this and just explained what we wrote, and have the other person not talk, just listen. Is that good? Or would it be overwhelming? Should we talk about each topic one by one?

thanks :) very true. decided not to do it because he might misinterpret, and it gives me the time to explain myself if he asks questions.

ArmyMedic agony auntThat sounds like a good idea, but remember there are two sides to every story and when you open a can of worms they are out for good.

Don't expect to like everything he has to say.
