Do I still try to make this friendship work?

Question - (24 March 2009) 2 Answers - (Newest, 24 March 2009)
A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

This is pretty much a best friend issue. Me and my best friend used to be so close. We used to hang out and talk ALL the time. This year we began to become less close and it really sucks. We barely talk and we never hang out anymore! He doesn't really understand how i feel about that.

Part of it is that his gf doesn't like me (although I'm sure he'll never admit it). She even claims to have separated me and him but, he won't really believe me.

For some strange reason he still considers me his best friend i don't know if I do though. I don't know whether i should just kind of forget him, or keep trying to make our friendship work...

Any feedback?

best friends fall out all the time, sadly its a thing of life but dont get too upset over it maybe he feels the same. why dont you try and sit down and have a serious chat you never know you may find common ground. maybe his girlfriend does like you but doesnt know how to go about it and mouths off because it is awkward for her. if your friendship is strong enough no boyfriend or gilfriend should be able to break that. i hope you sort things out.
