The thing is the girl and the boy so obviously like each other (they both get ridiculously jealous about each other and they act like a couple) but they're both too damn stubborn to do anything about it and it's not long before we all leave school. Do I let them figure it out by themselves or should I talk to the boy and get him to man up and admit his feelings?

I'm going to disagree a bit with Honeypie, though I usually agree with her... I would say something like, "Oh for heaven's sake Jake ask Sadie out, it's pretty obvious you two have some feelings for each other." And then I would let it go.
A friend of mine did that with my now husband.... she said "Oh just go ahead and get married to him!" and we hadn't even had our first date. So sometimes having close friends point out the obvious can get your relationship moving forward.
The key is to do it just once and then let it go. You pointed it out, it's out there, it's now up to them to act or not act on their attraction.

Let them figure it out for themselves.
Why?
Because GUESS who gets the blame if they don't work out? Who will lose BOTH people as friends?
YOU.
