I need to know as soon as possible. I was supposed to get my period in about 2 weeks and the test says it can tell you a week before your period. Do i have to wait until next month or should i test in a week.

It is still effective up to 72 hours after an "accident" and given that your period is due in two weeks, you sre ovulating right now, basically. This means that it sounds as though you are within your firtile period and may very well be pregnant. If you actually DO want to be pregnant, wait unitl 4 days after a late period. It wont (i dont think) tell you anything until then, there isnt enouough of a hormonal change, as when you ovulate the hormones are there, and it is the degeneration of the hormones that driggers menstruation, while a pregnancy maintains high levels of estrogen and progesterone. And a pregnancy test is looking for HCG (human chorionic gonadotrophic hormone) which is released when the embryo implants into the womb. Hope this helps!!
