Have you tried citizens advice bureaux? They should be able to help. Look for their number in the yellow pages where you'll find lots of useful helplines you can try too. Also try the job centre/Dwp. Even if you're not claiming benefits, they can offer advise too.

I don't know the set up you have at work e.g are there union reps or workers representatives? It's worth speaking to someone neutral at work and that you trust about this. Once you have facts and more info, you can approach a manager about shifts. Are you with a temping agency? If so speak to them. You have rights as an employee, even a temp one. Don't be afraid. Working unsocial hours e.g nights is unpleasant but an employee should be asked first if they are willing to work nights. They are safety issues involved e.g if you finish when there is no public transport running, how will you get home safely? I'm not an expert in employee rights but having worked with temp staff before, I've seen them get messed around by management. Stick up for yourself and do some research online too about this issue. You'll be suprised what abit of research can do.

You work there, they should be able to adjust to your needs not all but help ya out a bit. You cannot be fired unless you've done something against policy. I would keep pushing it with your schedule. Just a reminder though anywhere you work at will be a pain in the butt in different aspects welcome to the job world.
