I would strongly suggest not being under the influence at your age. There are too many people at my age (25) who STILL can't figure out how to do it responsibly.
... And yes, I totally think you should have a chance with him, if he is really into you. If he is gonna let peer pressure decide for him, then I would tell you to go find a guy who loves you more than what other people think.
