writes: I used to go out with this friend of my brother's but he broke up with me. He's in the Marines now and keeps saying he wants me to give him another chance. I told him he'd have to wait till he came home. My brother tells me though that he is always asking if he has a chance with this or that girl that they know. Should I waste my time on this guy?

reader, anonymous, writes (26 February 2006): No. I broke up with an ex because I heard he was trying to cheat. We then got back together, and he used me and broke up with me. Guys who play (or try too!) aren't worth your time. The only way they learn their behaviour isn't acceptable is if women refuse to put up with it.
Don't take him back- he'll think he can do it all again x

 Forget him, just move on, he is one of those blokes who wants a girl in every port for home leave etc, just forget him and dont date him as you really will regret it.
