Do they handle things diffrently than women? What are some things women do when they break a man's heart? I mean besides on infidelity and breaking up? I would just like to know.

reader, anonymous, writes (14 December 2008): Yes, we get heartbroken. And yes, we cry (well I did). For me, I would put on a show for the world because I never wanted anyone to see what kind of pain I was in, but in private I was a much different person (ie miserable). With my most recent heartbreak (it was also my worst), I began drinking alot and got in a fight with a brick wall. I'm doing better now and I started actually writing my feelings down to get them out of my head because I was thinking too much about her and literally losing sleep. As for the causes, they are the same for men and women. Perhaps men have a harder time with heartbreak because we are trained to be tough and not let things bother us and then we start to get upset about both the heartbreak and the fact that we can't control our emotions like we think we ought to. Hope this answers your question from a male's perspective.
