 I don't think it's actually a thing that men either do or don't like. Some guys love it when you play with their hair. They really really love it. Other guys, however, will freak out if you touch there hair, even only a little bit. It's more of a personal preference than something all guys like or don't like.

 The answer probably is really individual, but in my experience guys LOVE it when you play with and run your fingers through their hair. My guy actually asks me to do it. But then again, I like it when my guy plays with my hair, too. You said you would punch someone who touched your hair, so not everyone is the same and I dont think it is necessarily a girl/boy differance, but a personal differance.
