 I suspect that "blue balls" is equivalent to what was often called "stone aches" in earlier times - which for a guy, means that he gets very sexually aroused but does not ejaculate. I don't know the physiology of why it occurs, but having experienced it a few times in my youth, I can attest that the pain and discomfort is considerable. Never would I want to experience it again, and "dry humping" without ejaculation is one way to cause it. One remedy, following a dry-humping session, would probably be masturbation.
