One thing - do girls shave their pubes when they have sex?I know this sounds ridiculous but it's something you don't really want to ask your friends as I guess it's an answer you should know! It doesn't hurt as much as people say and it takes about 4 weeks to grow back fully (if you are not a very hairy person) I have been getting them done every 4 weeks for 2 years and its great. No problems with ingrown hairs and it is much cleaner. But don't get it done just to have sex, get it done for yourself and if you do have sex the guy will love it ;) hope this helps

It's a personal choice. I do not shave but trim my pubes so that they are neat and short. If you shave there is always the itching as others have pointd out.

If a guy's sexual attraction to you is noticeably dependent on your pubic hair then either he's not that into you or he has a very specific fetish. Practically-speaking, it might be a good idea to trim it enough that it won't get in the way during oral or PIV. Beyond that, do whatever you please. I'm lazy as hell about shaving and it's not uncommon for me to wind up in the bedroom with hairy LEGS and PITS even, yet I always ended up having a great time and getting enthusiastically invited back. Being confident in bed matters so much more than the arrangement of your body hair. I think "don't sweat the small stuff" applies more to sex than any other subject.

From my limited experience I would say that being shaved helps a woman get more feelings in the important areas! Or maybe it just makes it easier for a guy to know what he's touching lol!
I would recommend a waterproof battery trimmer - a bit like a micro hedge trimmer! They work very well. Also the more expensive razors marketed for women are very good. I don't recommend completely shaved as bare skin kind of sticks and can get sore. Leave a little triangle of short hair pointing at your clit - just in case he needs direction! :)

Do what you feel comfortable with, it also depends on the guy you are with. Everyone is different.

Now from a man's perspective, what matters most to me is that you trim the wild pubes and present a nice shape. Trying to be so careful how I say this, as you can imagine...Some men apparently like the "bald" look on women. Some men like a little "landing strip" some like it trimmed so that it's like a goatee. Me, I prefer that it is clean, fly-away wild pubes are trimmed neat, and anything around the "heart" of the pubes is kept clear.Shaving areas that have countless millions of nerve endings and blood vessels is something you myst do (or have done) very carefully. It is primarily your choice. I personally see "bald" pubes as immature and pedophilic, as it is clean like a baby. I prefer having some sort of area for my hands to pet - like a cat's fur. the tingle as the tips of the hairs brush across my fingers and palms is so thrilling!Do what you think is right. I would suggest at minimum trimming it so it is nice and neat, brushing it (a very soft toothbrush works wonders - just make sure you do not use that brush again on your teeth lol...)

Close trimmed is good with a hair-free bikini line.
Shaved looks a bit clinical, bit too eager-beaver. Plus the itching from re-growth is terrible and make sure you gently exfoiliate your bikini line in the shower, to avoid painful in-growing hairs.

Shaved is by far the most common way younger women keep their private area these days. Upwards of 90% of the women I've been with who are under 30 shave. So if you're with a guy who has experience, that's probably what he'll be expecting just because it's the "normal" of today.
Personally I prefer my woman shaved and I think there are a lot of guys like me, so I enjoy this trend and see why it's so popular. That said, as long as the area is neatly trimmed I don't think most guys will complain. There are a select number of men who like a completely natural looking woman, but that's likely to turn off more men than it will please.
Best of luck!

Its a bit of a joke between our friends if someone doesn't shave they do get a few jokes but not serious lol all of my boyfriends also prefer it shaved but its completely up to you and what you feel comfortable with. Would be a good idea to ask your boyfriend as well what he likes.

some shave
some wax
some leave natural
some trim
it's a personal preference.
best advice if you are hairy... at bare minimum trim nicely...
if you want to be bare I recommend waxing to shaving.

Girls don't necessarily shave. You can please yourself. However, if you shave, consider being itchy, ingrown hairs, etc... afterwards. Hey, why not try it at least once. But I wouldn't bother.
Could I also suggest that if you choose to shave WHEN having sex, that you consider your partner and be damn careful with the razor.

Me and my friends have talked about this lots~ its really ok to talk about if you feel close enough :) A lot of my friends do shave because they think it feels nicer for them and they don't like having hair down there. I personally just shave the bikini line and trim the rest really short as shaving it all off hurts too much. . Just do what you feel comfortable doing, don't shave just to please someone else ^_^

I just trim them neatly. I used to shave it all off, but realized the stubble was very irritating for both me and the guy.
