reader, anonymous, writes (4 July 2010): my husbands family did big time. I have 7 and dont feel that i do, but the kids say i do. It changes depending on their mood though.:) the sweetest story i ever heard was at a funeral. The preacher was a son~in~law of the deceased. He told that between the time of death and the funeral, all 6 of her children had approached him and said, "now dont tell the others but i was mom's favorite"... Unfortunately, thats not the norm. Most families i've seen have had some type of favoritism.

You might need to expand on this question.Families can have favorites, most people in general do.You can never let this hold you back .... you are in control of your life, and it's up to you to make great friends, where you can find support ... and it's up to you to work hard and get out of life what you want from it.:)
