writes:OK i have the same dilemma as others who are in love with a younger guy or just really really like them. bare with me here, i have never liked a younger guy before. i have always gone for the older guys and i recently just got my heart broken by an older guy who i liked for 3 years :( but this year i found myself liking a freshman and im a senior. hes 14 and im 17. we have been hitting it on for weeks now and he tells me that he really likes me and im sooo amazing!! :D idk but when i talk to him or when im with him, i just like him more and more! it all started when he kept smiling at me in chorus and OMG! he is sooo cute when i noticed him :) everytime i look at him my eyes light up and i have this huge smile on my face!!everyone tells me its so cute lol and he is actually mature for his age. believe me i was even surprised!! but we dont want ppl knowing about us cuz we dont want ppl talkin shit. some of my friends say its ok age shouldnt matter and ur still 17 but dont do anything after ur 18 and i was like i wont cuz i dont want to seem like a pedo. im not like that but i do really like him. sorry this is sooo long lol but a few days ago he told me ppl were bugging him cuz i was too old and saying nasty shit like ima slut, ugly, gross and annnoying and ever since then he has seem to avoid me. he told me before that he would never ever hurt me and he wants to be with me, he wants me, but i think his friends are giving him a hard time about it =( i know i shouldnt like him but i soo do and i know he likes me too =) its just everyone talkin shit and idk how they found out but me and him are trying to convince them theres nothing between us even though there is. its a secret relationship but its hard for us to find a place where we can be alone without ppl knowing. and i dont want it to stop cuz i might be falling for him =( its wrong i think idk a lil weird but not really. hes amazing! and i dont want him to have second thoughts cuz of wut his friends think but im having second thoughts about it when i really dont want to. i truly like him and dont want to let him go... reader, anonymous, writes (28 November 2009): I say go for it. When you look at it, there is only a difference of a few years. In fact, you probably know of many other people who are separated by more years than is the issue here. Honestly, you just shouldn't worry about what other people say, because what they say does not matter. With respect to the legal implications once you turn 18, you may want to try finding out the specific laws. Often times the laws allow a great deal of wiggle room...i.e. if the minor is over the age of 16 and you are no more than four years apart in age, it may be legal. Anyways, that is just something you may want to look into.
