I've been on the birth control pill for nearly a year and they've stayed pretty much the same. This month, however, something's been a bit different.A few weeks ago I had to go on some anit-biotics which messed with the effects of the pill and made it ineffective. I forgot, and then the next day had to get te ECP. Everything seemed fine, and I got my period when I was suppose to.But now I've noticed that it's waaaaaaaaaaay heavier than normal, and way darker and I'm concerned something is wrong. Does anyone know whether this is just because the pill was messed with? Or because of te ECP?Help?

Nothing to worry about. THE ECP is a 'harsh' concentrated hormone thsb effect the body in strange ways. I've taken it once, I got quite sick and had a heavy period when I usually only get spotting.

And the ECP is the Emergency Contraceptive Pill also known as the Morning After Pill.
Thanks!

Hi there. I don't know what ECP means, so I can't comment on that.
In any case you need to get back to your GP anyway, to talk it over with them and find out why this has happened.
Anti-biotics do cause the pill to become non-effective, so that's probably why your period reverted back to what they were like pre the pill. Looks like one cancels out the other.
Get your GP's advice in any case.
It's probably nothing to worry about other than what you said - because of the anti-biotics.
Take care and best wishes.
