~Did Heart Break Revert Me to Being Strawberry Shortcake"

I was born with a head full of deep bright red hair which remained this color up until I turned 14 years old at which time it all gradually turned to a very dark brown color which if most times mistaken for black.

My hair color remained deep dark brown up until 4 months ago(when I was age 46) and then immediately with the date my first love dumped me, which was this past July, my hair has gradually been reverting to the deep bright red hair color.

Is it possible that the emotional trauma I experienced from being dumped by my first love triggered the reversion in my hair color?

My younger sister and mother both experienced the exact hair reversion from red to brown permanently back to red when they were traumatized by love.

My Mother is half scottish so red hair runs in that side of the family.

hi, it could be trauma, it could be herediatry. My father had blonde hair as a young man in his 20s, but by 40 his hair was brown. He too is of Scotland descent. Why not consult a trichologist (specialist Medical Doctor who treats hair issues) and find out once and for all the real reason. Mostly i've only heard of sudden loss of hair during trauma. Or hair going white overnight over trauma.
