Why does it seem like ex-boyfriends like to give you the idea that they want to get back together, that they miss you, and when you finally meet up and have a great time, they completely disappear?

is it something he is doing on purpose? to lead me on? or he just didnt know until he saw me again, but we had such a good time together...

A male reader, CaringGuy United Kingdom +, writes (11 November 2009):

He was testing to see if either you were interested in nothing but sex, or whether he'd be interested in going back out with you. He's an ex for a reason, as are all exes, and you're much better off leaving them in the past. There will be a better guy out there for you who will love you. But stop seeing exes.
