Okay so I was having a Facebook conversation with this guy who I like but he has a conversation and we were joking around when I says " it's weird we haven't talked in ages, I kind of miss you" because we used to be close but then we stopped talking and this is the first time we've properly talked since he got a girlfriend but he didn't reply and logged off, guys would that scare you of?

A reader, anonymous, writes (24 September 2012):

There's nothing scary about your comment, you were just being friendly. Maybe he rushed offline because his girlfriend was in the room and didn't want her making a bigger deal out of it than necessary?

Only way to know for sure is to ask him and hope he replies at some point.

A female reader, CindyCares Italy +, writes (24 September 2012):

CindyCares agony aunt I am not a guy but I don't see anything scary in your comment and I doubt he got scared. I can't see " I kind of miss you " as heavy romance or a pushy advance. One can miss a person as a friend, because they miss his conversation and companionship etc.

Probably his gf called him up ,or some friend , or they told him dinner was ready, or any of 100 menial things came up. Boys his age have a short attention span , probably he was killing time with you then he found something else to distract himself with . ( Btw, this does not mean that he was not rude, because he WAS. What, logging off, without even a " gotta go, take care " ? Sheesh ! )

Said that, please don't go sniffing around this guy, he's got a girlfriend, you'd probably get disappointed/ embarass yourself. Because no, you are not just interested in his jokes and conversation, you LIKE him. But at your age, you are steeped in single available guys, why looking for trouble pursuing a taken one.
