I found one from girl he used to fancy, asking him to play squash, he replied i have just broken up with gf, yes def play squash. I asked him serveral times who he told about us breaking up he said no-one, i told him i knew and he denied anything was going on saying he no intention to play squash and she just a pal, now he says he does want to meet up with her. He says im paranoid and no reason not to keep in contact with her. im confused.

No wonder you are confused. He's lied to you.
Why would he say he told know when, when he did. Why would he say he didn't want to meet her when he does.
It seems like he is trying to get to you. This could be because you read his messages and he feels betrayed and wants to push you away. He could also be punishing you for your lack of trust.
Maybe you should talk to him about why he lied. Tell him that it has knocked your self-esteem and that you don't feel comfortable with him meeting up with another girl that he likes.
If he refuses to work on the relationship with you then maybe you'd be better off looking for someone who will be with you in a relationship rather than expecting you to work on it by yourself.
