reader, anonymous, writes (15 October 2010): Marriage is not a good deal for men. %50 of marriages fail. %70 of divorces are filed by women. %90 of the time the children go to the mother. Men lose the close relationship with their children the majority of the time. Especially if the mother forms a new relationship and or moves away. Men lose %75 of their assets on average in the divorce. With the marriages that don't fail, it doesn't mean that it is a happy marriage, it is often means that the husband doesn't want to lose his children, wealth, house, etc. Would you buy this deal if someone was selling it to you?
