I ran into him after a month and he started texting me again- he said it was a big mistake to get back with his ex. He wanted to hang out again but I always said no. That happened in August and he still continues to text- say hello and some small talk. I was considering seeing him when school was done- just to give it another try. Today, he text me saying he ran into my friend (whose Polish like me) and told me how hot Polish girls are. I knew he was referring to how hot she was and I told him never to tell me that my friends were hot, that I wasn't one of his buddies. He apologized. Now I'm not sure what to do. I don't know if I'm overreacting or if it was uncalled for on his part. I don't know if I should see him again either. Any advice?

It's not uncalled for on his part because you guys are broken up; guys say these things all the time, and you are Polish too so it could even be taken as a compliment! However, as someone who myself gets jealous easily, I understand why it would bother you. No one likes their man to talk about looking at other girls, I like them to keep those thoughts to themselves! That said, it seems like maybe you still harbor feelings for him. Maybe you should give him another chance if you don't think he's gonna leave you for his ex again.
