Then when we tried to do it again it hurt for a minute because I was tighter, but all of a sudden I started bleeding. I thought it was my period because there was a lot of blood for a couple seconds, but when we started back up I stopped bleeding. Is it possible that I tore my hymen? or would it be something else since I wasn't a virgin? Please help!!

You may have just finished tearing it this time, especially if you were in a different position or went a little rougher.
If the bleeding has stopped and you don't feel pain or see it again, you should be fine.
If the bleeding comes back or continues, you might have torn something or have a problem, and it's probably a good idea to see a doctor.
Don't stress too much though, that area is designed for exactly what you were using it for :)
I have no medical knowledge, but I did a little research myself a while back when I had a similar concern.
