A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I dont know if I'm still a virgin! His penis slid on my vagina but not inside. Does this mean I'm a virgin still?

He didn't cum, there was a condom, but he had pre cum and it lasted literally a minute coz I wanted to stop.

I'm so confused about it.

The question you should be asking is; what if he did penetrate me and could I get pregnant? am I protected against STD's?

A male reader, anonymous, writes (1 April 2010):

You are no longer a virgin after you have your first sexual contact, be it oral, anal, petting, etc..

Intercourse is not the determining factor with regard to virginty.

Would you say that a girl who has given oral to 20 guys is still a virgin?

What about lesbians and homosexuals? If they have sex regularly and have never been with a member of the opposite sex would you consider them virgins?

A male reader, anonymous, writes (1 April 2010):

I would say you are still a virgin. My wife (and I) considered her a virgin when we got engaged. She dated a few guys and did foreplay things, and once she and this guy were both naked and they were rubbing together, and he came, but he never entered her vagina. So we both consider her still a "not completely innocent" virgin when we met.

2 things. 1) I'm glad he had a condom on, that shows responsibility on both your parts. However, you are too young and I'm glad you realize it, to actually have sexual intercourse. 2) Save it for marriage, or at least a very special person you think you might want to spend your life with.

A reader, anonymous, writes (1 April 2010):

If his penis didn't go inside your vagina in the slightest then you're still a virgin.

Just make sure when you do choose to have sex be careful!

All the best.

A female reader, asdfg United States +, writes (1 April 2010):

You mean, his penis slid on your vulva but not in your vagina? If he didn't "go inside" in the slightest bit, you're still a virgin.

If he got inside at all, you aren't a virgin.

That said, I'm one of those who believes that you can't lose your virginity until you've had vaginal sex with a man. One's definition of virginity is important in determining whether or not someone is a virgin, of course.

A reader, anonymous, writes (1 April 2010):

technically you are still a virgin because there was no penetration. It was brave of you to stop after it got that far. More girls should take a page out of your book and say stop if it feels uncomfortable at any point.
