Did I leave things go too long with her?

Question - (31 January 2012) 2 Answers - (Newest, 1 February 2012)
A male United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

A few nights ago i went out on a date with a girl, which was kinda cut short as she bumped into some of her friends while we were out and the evening didnt really go as i planned. In the end i left her with her friends (stupid i know). I spoke to her the next morning apologising and told her i had a great time etc and she said not to worry and that she had a good time too. Anyway ive texted her again today (about 3 days after we last spoke) just trying to start a conversation and stuff and hopefully ask her out for another date, but she hasnt replied. Has she lost interest? Did i leave it too long to ask her again?

tennisstar88 agony auntWait a minute, you left with her friends and cut the date short??

And you think she's going to want to go on a second date with you??

Erm, no. She didn't reply because she's not interested in going on a second date with you. One was enough.

MajorDisplayerOfInternationalPlayerBehavior agony auntThis is never good when they just happen to bump into friends when out on a date with you, and then they choose to remain with their friends. Where did you take her, and who's idea was it to go to the place you went? This may have been her escape plan, or if you play your cards right she might respond back to you. It's hard to say given lack of details.
