When I was in college, there is guy whom I did not noticed at first. He showed signs that he like me, but he never confess anything. One time, I saw him with a girl, and I was very jealous. One time, I was walking at our school, and he smiles me. Well that time I very depressed about family problem, and I remembered him with a girl, so I didn't smile back. The second time, I did the same thing. I thought to myself that I am not gonna regret what I did. The next time I saw him, he didn't look at me anymore. Looks like his mad or somthing. If a guy likes a girl, would he give up just like that?

Blod agony auntYeah, I think he stopped smiling at you because you don't respond. He probably thinks there's no point bothering because you just ignore it anyway. That doesn't mean that he doesn't like you though. But he's may have been put off you slightly because you're not showing any interest.

A male reader, anonymous, writes (2 November 2010):

Well I guess it depends on the guy and how strong he feels. Honestly, if he really liked you, he wouldn't give up. So he might not have been too interested. But with how he looked mad, it makes me think that he was hurt because he did like you.

I don't think he might have given up yet, just a little hurt. Next time you see him, smile if you're up to it. Maybe he'll smile back.
