Did I do everything right on this casual date?

Hello. I've hardly been out on casual meetings with guys. So ive got a couple of questions..

There's this guy i've been texting for a month now. We live in the same area. Both of us are shy and don't talk too much. Oh and we both have been in previous relationships in which we were dumped. So we're similar in a lot of ways. Yesterday we finally met(casually, not a date). We sat at a cafe and talked generally about our day and work. All through our conversation, he kept smiling at me. What could this mean? Does he like me? Or something else?

Later he even asked me if he could drop me home, but i said i preferred walking. Did i give him the right signal? Cause i really like him and don't want him to think i refused his offer cause i felt otherwise.

Lastly, he did text me in the night, so i'm assuming the meet did go well. I really like this guy, i found him extremely cute and straightforward in person and would definitely like to date him someday if he asks. I just cant stop thinking about him.

what are your opinions about this meet...do you think some sparks could fly?

bluecow agony auntYes he likes you

Why dont you suggest meeting for another coffee over the weekend?

Just drop him a text, tell him you will be in town on sunday if he fancies meeting for a coffee... I would bet money on the fact that he says yes (or arranges another day if sunday is too busy for him).

Congrats!
