Anyhow, the last one or two times that I went there was this girl working there. Very attractive, and while passing me she smiled lingeringly, slowing down for a second.I would next time like to have a chat with her and go on from there. Of course she might not be interested in me that way, but I would like to give it a try.My question is, is it ok to chat up someone who is at work? Also, could she get in trouble from her bosses? I probably couldn't talk too much there, so any ideas and how to start it.There is one plus, I don't feel comfortable approaching a girl in public, but here at that time, there is no one around

Totally okay! You have a window of about 3-5 minutes before she might get a little worried about slacking off if there is ANY supervision, so you have two ways of going about it.
1) Talk to her a little every time you go there and around the 4th or 5th conversation ask if she'd like to hang out sometime. If she says yes, promptly hand over your phone and ask her to put in her number, then call it to make sure she put in the right one and say "just so you have my number"
2) Talk to her for about 5 minutes and ask if she'd like to go out sometime. Then do the phone part.
It really depends on how much of "you" you are able to display in order to show you would be a fun guy to go out with it and not a psycho. And if she's available, if you are her type, etc, etc.
Main point though: Go for it! You don't lose anything.

No I don't think she would get in trouble, at the end of the day she is talking to a customer which is part of her job. Its a good place to start a conversation. Maybe ask her if they have a specific item and when she goes to find it ask her has she worked there long, how does she find the work ect. Am sure the conversation will just flow naturally and you can take it from there. Good luck.
