reader, anonymous, writes (9 February 2014): I think it is probably just his way of being nice without your step brother questioning his motives, he probably likes you as a friend, I'm guessing there is an age difference too? But even if he does like you, it might not be a great idea to go out with him because it could cause problems between you and your stepbrother and your stepbrother and him.

reader, anonymous, writes (6 February 2014): i think he likes you, but not in that way you want him to. i think he's just being a good friend to hs friend's step sister who's crushing on him. is there anyway you can find out? maybe you could ask your step brother to ask him who he likes, or you could just ask that guy yourself. the worst he can say is he doesn't like you, right?
