A female Canada age 26-29, anonymous writes:

I've had a crush on this guy for a really long time. I'm talking about 7 years here! A while ago(about grade 5,6) I would say i hated him because well, i was 10, immature and didn't want anyone to know i liked him. I was pretty sure that during this time he hated me too but i was never sure. I saw him a lot because we went to the same school and church and lived in the same neighbourhood.

In Grade 7 at the beginning we hardly talked. I didn't really care because we had hardly paid attention to each other since the first grade. We almost never talked. Everyone had teased me about liking him since grade 1 and i was a little relieved that year because i had a friend who was pretty much obsessed with him (he ended up hating her because she was so obsessed he avoided her like the plague!)so i didn't really have to deal with so much teasing. Near the end of the year around the time all the seventh graders were getting ready for camp, we started hanging out a bit during recess and lunch because we had the same friends. He became really easy to talk to but I couldn't tell if he liked me back which frustrated me. A lot of times i'd catch him looking at me and he'd suddenly look away. Once when i got glasses my friends said i looked like my dad when i had them on and i kept saying i didn't so i told the guy behind me to ask anyone else if i looked like my dad. First he asked when of our friends who said yes and i glared at him. Then he asked the guy i liked and i could feel myself start to blush(i blush WAY too much sometimes for no reason). The guy i liked looked at my and shook his head and said no. I could`.t help but smile a little and just told my friend told you i didn`t look like my dad!

Now we're in th eighth grade and go to different high schools. Recently he moved into a new house and since my family and relatives are so close to his family, my dad and cousins helped them move. I stayed at home. My dad came back to take us to church and i decided to go with him to the guy i like`s new house and help a little. When we finished moving and unpacking things me, him, his 3 brothers, my 2 cousins and his dad watched some hockey(Go Canucks!). When my dad told me it was time to leave, naturally his parents said goodbye and watched us leave but what startled me was that he came out of the room he was in and watched us leave too! He didn`t really say anything just sort of watched us which i didn`t expect. The next day i saw him at an open gym at our church. Me and a bunch of other people started playing volleyball while he played his signature game, basketball. when we started playing, he walked over to the bleachers in front of the volleyball game and watched. I decided to stop playing after a while and sat down 2 rows in front of him sorta to the side. normally he would`ve played after someone asked him to but he only reluctantly went after a while. i also spotted him looking at me a few times(can't be to sure though cuz i didn't have my glasses but he was definitely looking at my direction.

So what do you guys think? Does he like me?

Also I've found him to be a lot quieter around me and somewhat more cautious about what he says and shy. And when his friends teased him about my friend that was obsessed with him(paragraph 2) he would start trashing her but when they teased him about me, i saw him sort of blush, look down and looked kind of flustered while he tried to ignore them or change the subject.

aureliuslover agony auntWHAT A STORY!

I think he likes you because he will not do the "sort of blush, look down and looked kind of flustered while he tried to ignore them or change the subject", right?

But you're so lucky to have him as a family friend. by tha way, you can know more about him..

goodluck:)
