We started kissing early last year but we always did it at each others home in our rooms. The teacher gave us such a lecture about the fact that we are both 15 and she could have us arrested for assaulting each other. Basically she said if it ever happens again she would tell the police and our parents. Could we really be arrested just for kissing, i dont think i'm gay but i am not sure about my friend. We both like each other. Now it gets really scary because we are afraid of being arrested.

It is not illegal for you to kiss! As long as it is consensual. There would be potential safeguarding issues if the person was older, but it would seem you are both of similar age. If you enjoy kissing your friend, continue to do so, but perhaps school isn't the best place. Don't let your teacher, or anyone else for that matter, let you think that there is anything wrong with what you and your friend are doing. If your teacher continues to bring this up / say things / or treat you any differently because of this incident - I would consider contacting a local LGBT youth group and speaking to a youth worker. They would be able to advise you and your friend. Hope that helps x

I'm pretty sure that you can't get arrested for just kissing unless it was non-consensual. C'mon, teenagers kissing kissing each other is hardly uncommon - imagine how busy the police would be if they had to arrest all of them. Have any other kids ever been caught kissing at school? Were they reported to the police?
My guess is that your teacher just said this to scare you into behaving. (Or she over-reacted because it's the first time she been faced with two guys kissing.) She can, however, still report you to the police - it will be up to the police to decide whether they wanted to investigate. Your teacher can also report your activities to your parents and to the head teacher.
But, as the other aunties have said, school is hardly the place for kissing so stick to your own homes in the future.

In theory, yes.
Public displays of affection would only be a criminal offence under the Public Order Act if the conduct was likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress . So, if the kissing leads to fondling and gets somewhat out of hand , a couple could be done for public indecency , but this would be up to the police and legal system to decide. It would also depends on the circumstances - in your case the fact that the PDA is taking place between minors, on school grounds , in possible view of other minors .... yeah, in theory you could be charged ( Although in practice , probably they would just wag their finger at you and tell you to go kiss each other somewhere more private ).
Regardless, your teacher could certainly get you suspended from school and inform your parents.

No, I don't think you can get arrested, BUT if it's in the CODE of CONDUCT that student DO NOT kiss on school ground, then you can get suspensions.
So IF you and your friend want to kiss, DON'T do it on school grounds.
I think she said that to scare the crap out of you, and well, it worked.
However, with that said, SHE can inform your parents.
