He is not intimate with me and hardly cuddles or kisses me anymore. He seems to have a blank look all the time, he makes loads of plans with me and at the last minute cancels them. We live together, but I sometimes feel in his way. I know he is a man who needs his on space like all of us, and I feel I give him this. I dont know how to help him or get things back to how they were. He told me its not me who is making him not have the feelings to make love or cuddle he said he just does not have those feelings anymore. Does anyone know if the steriods could have this effect on someone. Reply to this Question Share |

Steroids are a big deal and they are mood altering. I've read enough about them to know they aren't to be taken lightly.
They do affect one's sex drive in a big way, sometimes diminishing the desire and other times elevating it. They also cause wild mood swings and increase aggression and anger.
I'd be worried because most steroids are delivered via needles. You could be opening yourself up to a host of diseases (AIDS and hepatitis to name a few) that are spread through sexual contact. If he is sharing needles, it could be extremely deadly in the long run.
You can do some research for yourself online by looking into steroids. But this would be a HUGE red flag if I was a woman dating a man who was into steroids.
Good luck.

Basically if he's on steroids, he's a hormonal mess. watch out because usually steroid users don't just become numb they also become violent, it's called "roid rage." You should educate him on the consequences of taking steroids. his personality will change, for the worse. If he still wants to take steroids, he's got other issues. What could be so important to him that he's willing to compromise his personality and turn into a raging lunatic? does he think that's gonna get him anywhere in life?

Yes, of course they could. Steroids effect your hormones and make them inbalanced and until he stops using them, this will always be the case. Some people experience these side effects others don't, it depends on a persons ability to tolerate them, the actual strength of the steroids and the doseage that they are being taken in.Have you shared your concerns with him?
