My boyfriend and I hadn't had sex since the beginning to middle january and continued not having sex. We broke up middle of march for other reasons. Fast forward to beginning of june, I had been hanging out with this new guy. We slept together four times over the course of the summer and I always made sure to use condoms. Except the 4th time...he kinda jumped the gun, was forward, and we got caught up in the moment and we did not use a condom (this was 2nd week of august). I of course went to the pharmacy and got the Plan B pill. Two weeks later I got my period just a few days early, not a big deal. Well now I am sitting waiting for my period this month, thinking I would have gotten it a good week ago...and still nothing. It has been 33 days since the start of my last period. I am highly frustrated right now, because I hate hate hate the waiting game (which is why I hope to get back on BC...ahh the luxury of knowing when you will get your period!) So my question...is this normal? I know the information on the Plan B pill said it could make my period come a bit early or a bit late...and it did...just a little bit early last time. But would the Plan B pill still be throwing off my normal cycle for my second period following taking it??? Should i be concerned at all or not yet? And there is almost no chance that it didnt work and i might be pregnant, right? (ooh, it might be useful information to say that i have not had any sex since the forgotten condom incident)thanks for any and all answers...i just feel slightly ignorant and naive right now. :(

Your not niave at all we all worry about these things, firstly yes there is a possibilty that the plan b pill didnt work, in most cases it does but as am sure you know nothing is 100 percent, and secondly yes it could possibly be the reason why your period is late this month. Maybe give it a week or 2 and if it still hasnt come then visit your doctor for a peace of mind, he will be able to do a pregnancy test and let you know. Also if you are stressing about this it may also be a reason why your period hasnt come. Good luck.
