Hi hun,

It all depends what circumstanses you are dealing with love. If say a friend with a skin problem like impetigo, or boils was sharing then no.... If you were saying sharing with a friend who was nursing and in contact with blood then they should be cleaning washing hands after contact plus wearing gloves. so really it all depends on the facts hunny HOPE THIS HELPS A LITTLE TAKE CARE LOVE MANDY XXXXXXX

A female reader, LauraE United Kingdom +, writes (17 July 2007):

I’m not speaking as an expert, so I wouldn’t know whether ‘bugs’ could survive in lotions or not. I think that if someone touches the top of a bottle after touching blood or an infected area, then it could be passed on to someone else via the bottle. I think that by and large it’s best not to share cosmetics etc with someone else. It can be a bit embarrassing to say you don’t want to share of course. I think I would say that I prefer not to share my stuff in case I accidentally pass something into them. Then you aren’t accusing them of something.
