A male Philippines age 26-29, anonymous writes:

Hi,

Recently I've given up on a girl which I have been asking out this past months but keeps getting rejected. Now, a friend of mine (a girl) were not that very close. But now she keeps asking me if I still like the previous girl. She wants me to rate it in a scale 1 to 10. I said that I've given up on her. She smiles happily. Now and then she teases me about her. Sometimes, she even buys me lunch. And every night when we text she gives me kisses when I was about to sleep (just in text). She's very sweet and cute. I think she likes my best friend. But now I think she likes on me.

Am I being paranoid for thinking she likes me or she really likes me? Please help, I'm confused. I also don't want to betray my best friend.

Anastasia agony auntHi,

From what you have said, we definitely know that the first girl isn't interested in going out with you. That's a given by her saying no to you everytime you ask her out.

This new girl is keenly interested in you...it's so obvious. You have 2 choices as far as I see:

1. Come out and ask the new girl..." hey I thought you liked my best friend, but you seem to be getting quite friendly with me...what's your story?"

or

2. To your best friend: So this girl seems to be coming on to me and flirting with me....I could have sworn she likes you....are you guys this friendly? Does she do this sort of thing with you? Do you fancy her? Is it okay if I date her?

It's the only way to find out what's happening. Guessing..not going to lead you to a good answer..ask either one.

Toodles.
