The only way I have of contacting him is facebook, although I haven't spoken to him since the holiday. I know I have to tell him because it's not fair on him or my baby. To be honest selfishly I don't want to tell him because I don't really want him or his family to be involved and I'm not going to ask for any support from him. I was just wondering if anyone had any idea what his rights are? Are his rights different because he lives in Turkey and I live in England? Could this lead to a custody battle if him or his family wants to be involved and want they baby in Turkey.... if they did they wouldn't be likely to win would they?

It's very brave and very mature to decide you will bring up a baby entirely by yourself, but if it means that the baby then enjoys a more solid and reliable life emotionally, then it is the right decision.

I'm not a legal expert but I would guess that if your baby is born in the uk, the uk parental rights laws would apply ie he has to go to register the birth with you to have parental rights. He could of course apply for parental rights at a later date it's not a once only deal.
