Now here's my dilemma; could this be a herpes bliser? i havent had any of the symptoms of herpes (cos i checked on the internet) and even though my mother takes exceptional care to look after her problem, is there a chance i could have caught it from her? she has explained that i couldnt get it unless i touched one of the blisters and it popped and i then didnt wash my hands etc (which would never happen cos thats pretty gross :S )so just to reiterate, could this one (there is only one of them) small spot0like thingy be a herpes blister or could it be an in-grown hair or something far less harmful? please please help.Much obliged :D

Sounds very much like an ingrown hair.
Just pop the spot and pull out the hair from under the skin with tweezers. I get these quite often from shaving.

If** it is an ingrown hair you want to pop it and get the hair out of there.
Its unlikely that you would have caught herpes from your mom, if she ONLY has genital herpes.

it doesn't sound like herpes just in ingrown hair. I'd still go to the doctor about it for a confirmation and maybe take this little scare as be careful not to share stuff with your mum that could lead to you catching it
