india's idea is great. theatre tickets would be a lovely pressie, im a musical theatre addict and i loved it when my boyf surprised me with tickets to les mis in london (im from ireland). go onto google and search for any upcoming shows that may be passing through your area.
if she likes japanese pop culture you could research online and see if you could find an old vintage manga or anime poster or framed comic.
top any of the gifts off with chocolate and your in the good books!!
i've also heard that in some places there are chocolate shops that make personalised boxes of chocolates for ppl with their name, fave things etc.

Hi sweet,
I'm a theater junkie and the absolute BEST gift I've ever received was season tickets to my favorite theater (if she doesn't have a favorite, just pick one with a season that you think she'll like). Many theaters have student discounts on season tickets...
So give her tickets and a box of chocolates. If she's edgy, make a collage on the top of the chocolate box with a picture of the two of you in the middle and a "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" somewhere...
Just an idea, sweet! Good luck!
xx India
