I never did that to a strange guy before and when he finished I swallowed. Now I am nervous that I may have contracted a STD. What is the likelihood that I could catch a STD from swallowing? Do I need to get a blood test? I'm so nervous.

Do get yourself tested but don't stress too much about it. The swallowing is not much of an issue as the acids in your stomach will kill pretty much anything but there is risk if you have any cuts or abrassions in your mouth. The biggest risk comes from cleaning your teeth just before giving a blowjob as that can create lots of tiny cuts on the gums. It sounds as if in this situation you had just come from the club and so you probably had not had time to brush you teeth.

It is possible to contract an STD from oral sex, the thing is that people don't often use safe sex practices when performing oral sex.
Apparently, HPV is being transmitted now through oral sex, and as a result, there are more and more cases of throat cancer than there used to be.
Bottom line is that oral sex is not safe sex. Go talk to your physician if you are concerned. If you don't have a doctor, you should get one, if you are going to be sexually active with multiple partners, you might as well get the facts from the doctor.
Good luck, and be smart. You only get that one body and the choices you make now could have significant consequences to your future health and fertility.

The only STD's that I am aware of that can be transmitted via oral sex is Herpes, Syphilis, Gonorrhea, and Chlamydia, and in some cases HIV. This is according to the CDC. It's quite a laundry list, since all of the above are among the heavy-hitters of STD's.
It's not so much the swallowing, but rather mucous membrane contact with body fluids. Soft tissue can easily tear and allow for easy transmission of infections. Say, you brushed or flossed and just so-slightly tore some gum tissue (like flossing can make your gums bleed if you're too rough). Contact with body fluids of an infected person and your mouth tissue and presto, infection transferred.
Some people use "dental dams" as a sort of oral sex protection. But the best protection is DON'T.
I'm sure I don't need to remind you that your behavior is very high risk.
Go see your doctor, tell him/her what your concern is and see what's recommended. Don't fool with this. Make certain. And ALWAYS practice safe and safer sex!

I would get checked because there is still a chance you could have caught an STDs, this is very risky behavior be careful and don't put yourself in this position again...even if your giving him a blowjob make sure he is wearing a party hat.

a majority of STD are contacted by intercourse and not oral sex. I don't think you have much to worry about, but if you do notice changes, such as discolored discharge, etc. get checked. I have heard of rare occasions where someone contracts from oral, but they had an open sore, i.e. canker sore, already.
